Jim Colony

Jim Colony has a 30+-year track record as a transformational leader delivering profitable and sustainable growth strategies. With a background in engineering in the Aerospace industry Jim has led numerous turnarounds and start ups and served as interim CEO for distressed private equity portfolio companies. He has managed manufacturing and sales operations simultaneously on four continents and built factories in Asia for three separate companies. In his most recent success, Jim led a two-year turnaround of Darmann Abrasives, a US-based industrial manufacturing company, from operating losses to record high sales and profitability (through the pandemic).

Jim’s expertise includes team building, investor relations, operational excellence and lean manufacturing, sales and growth strategies, fund raising, and the development and execution of divestment strategies.

Jim is a graduate of the Missouri Institute of Technology and an active member in the Young President’s Organization. Jim is married with two grown children and lives in Harvard, Massachusetts Outside of work Jim’s interests include all types of outdoor activities including hiking, kayaking, and cycling.
