Jay Weiland

Jay is a proven executive with over 20 years of operations experience transforming organizations sales, marketing, manufacturing and engineering to provide sustainable growth.  In addition, he co-founded Vertical Construction Group in Seattle, WA in 2009 and has since exited.  His performance has spanned across three continents with extensive in theater work in China, western and eastern Europe.  He has also spent 6 years living abroad in Italy and Belgium.

Jay started his corporate career at the Danaher operating company, Fluke Electronics where he created value in supply chain optimization, new product development, product management and marketing.  He honed his skills leading kaizens in lean product development resulting in numerous patents and breakthrough products.  Since Danaher, has held general operational management roles for $10M – $3B revenue companies in the building material, construction, lighting, and industrial technology sectors.  Jay specializes in developing and executing LEAN policy deployment growth programs that span commercial and technical breakthroughs leveraging his experience as an entrepreneur, technologist and marketer.  Jay has a long history M&A strategy and implementation with Danaher, Acuity Brands and Omnimax.

Prior to joining SellSide, Jay was the President of Corporate Environments of Georgia where growth was managed in the region through M&A and execution of entrance into new adjacent verticals.  He enjoys developing talent and teams in cross functional settings to deliver performance and personal development.  

Jay holds an MBA from the Vlerick Business School in Brussels, Belgium and a Bachelors in Finance / International Business from Arizona State’s W.P. Carrey School of Business.  He is a member of YPO Atlanta, a board member of Global Growers Network, proud husband of 22 years and father of two young boys.
