Bill McClellan
Managing Director
Bill McClellan was the past President and CEO of the Dawn Frozen Business Unit. Bill brought a wealth of multi-channel marketing, sales, operations, and product innovation experience to Dawn Foods as CEO/President of the Frozen Finished Business Unit. Key initiatives included innovative frozen product portfolio development to meet customer and consumer evolving need states while turning around a money losing frozen business. Additionally, Bill worked with other industry leaders in developing Collaboration and Joint Business Planning models to support improved communications between suppliers and operators in the foodservice space.
Bill was the past Chairman of the Board of Directors for the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (’18 & ’19) and served on the Foodservice Executive Committee for GS1 for 5 years. Additionally, he has served on the Board of Directors for Briess Industries for four years. Recently Bill was awarded a Doctorate of Foodservice by the North American Food Equipment Manufacturers. Bill also serves as Chief Consulting Officer for Esrock Partners, a multi-channel food marketing agency.

Bill came to Dawn from Swift and Company/JBS where he was Executive Vice President overseeing Brands, Research & Development, Operations, and inside/outside sales. In this position he fostered the development of key customer account teams, creating brand awareness for the Swift Premium brand and driving product innovation in the beef & pork industry. Swift & Company won several Vendor of the Year awards from national operators under Bill’s guidance. He also was Senior Vice President at Con Agra and Tyson, leading the Louis Kemp Seafood Company, which included the oversight of 3 seafood processing facilities while increasing household penetration of the Louis Kemp Seafood brand. Bill was also with H.J. Heinz, supporting the category leading Weight Watchers and Ore-Ida brands, in senior leadership positions in marketing, sales, operations, and general management.

He is a graduate of Michigan State and with graduate work at the University of Washington and Boise State. Bill and his wife, Laurel, and their two daughters, Meredith, and Claire, live in Ft. Collins, Colorado
